Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) is seeking a Deputy District Nurse to support the Caldicot District Nursing Team within the South Monmouthshire Community. You will deputise for the Team Leader and help deliver high-quality patient care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

The post is a fixed-term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Welsh language ability is desirable. ABUHB offers flexible working and a comprehensive NHS benefits package.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in community nursing.
• Community Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) or current progression towards SPQ.
• Ability to work autonomously and flexibly to meet service needs.
• Managerial experience and caseload management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deputise in the Team Leader's absence and ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care within the Nursing Team.
• Support a nursing team within Caldicot and promote evidence-based practice.
• Provide expert clinical advice and teaching to less experienced staff.
• Ensure alignment with NMC Professional Code and organisational policies.
