An esteemed and award-winning Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Director of Science to join the permanent staff of one of its high-achieving secondary schools located in Bexley. As part of a large and nationally recognised Trust, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative science faculty while working within a supportive and ambitious educational environment.

About the Role
The Deputy Director of Science will work closely with the Director of Science and the wider leadership team to drive forward excellence in teaching and learning across all science disciplines. The successful candidate will play a key role in curriculum development, staff mentoring, data analysis, and raising academic standards across Key Stages 3 to 5.

This is a pivotal leadership position ideal for an experienced science teacher or middle leader seeking to take the next step in their career within a high-performing and collaborative Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic leadership and development of the science faculty
  • Lead on curriculum planning, quality assurance, and departmental improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge
