Job description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational leader to join the Science team. The Academy is committed to ensuring all areas are led by subject specialists. Science is making steady progress and aims for its best results ever. The department currently has the highest achieving Separate (Triple) Sciences GCSE cohort nationally, with a 100% pass rate.
You will join a dedicated team of science teachers and leaders committed to helping students reach their full potential and enjoy learning. The team includes experts in all three science disciplines, who are hardworking, enthusiastic, and flexible. Staff are keen to develop professionally, with frequent development opportunities within science and the wider academy. The department is led by the Head of Faculty and an Assistant Principal, who is also a science specialist. The Senior Science Technician supports teaching and learning in science. The department also conducts internal professional development and subject knowledge enhancement courses.
The Academy is an inclusive 11-18 school with state-of-the-art facilities, located 12 minutes from Enfield Lock train station. The percentage of students achieving top grades at GCSE has increased, with many progressing to universities including Russell Group institutions.
