University Hospitals Tees invites applications for the Deputy Chief Operating Officer to support delivery of the strategic plan in partnership with the Clinical Policy Group, CSU teams and external organisations. The post holder will deputise for the Chief Operating Officer and ensure safe, effective day-to-day operations, with involvement in board updates and system-wide transformation.

The role requires leading complex programmes across Planned/Unplanned/Community services, developing policies

Qualifikationen

• Operational experience in an emergency care setting.
• Intellectually flexible and able to look beyond existing processes to improve service delivery.
• Experience leading large service changes and redesign in a complex environment.
• Sound understanding of NHS legislation and national strategy.
• Knowledge of budgetary planning and cost-improvement processes.
• Experience working with multi-agency committees and external organisations.

Aufgaben

• Lead Planned/Unplanned/Community programmes with a transformational approach and efficient resource use.
• Collaborate with system partners to drive system-wide transformation.
• Contribute to development and implementation of the Clinical Services five-year strategic plan and annual operational centre business plan.
• Develop and direct policies and strategies in support of University Hospitals Tees aims.
• Lead operational organisational change to enable Clinical Service Units to perform effectively.
• Assess policy/strategy impact on local health services and implement plans maximizing benefits and ensuring compliance.
