Job Profile Summary
To participate in all aspects of underwriting and effective operation of Chaucer’s Renewable Power & Energy business as directed.

Job Description

• Underwrite new and renewal risks and approve endorsements/amendments in accordance with business plans, strategy, controls, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Assist in developing long-term strategy for Renewable Power & Energy across all platforms and hubs.
• Perform slip and rating analysis, undertake premium monitoring, and conduct PML and aggregation analysis with the Exposure Management team.
• Monitor risks, renewals, and develop target account lists.
• Ensure accuracy of written premium data on proprietary systems.
• Prepare reports and support development of underwriting systems and models.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and customers to promote business and market presence.
• Attend industry meetings and contribute to market profile development.
• Assist with reinsurance programs and stay updated on industry developments.
• Collaborate across divisions and ensure administrative and peer review processes are followed.
• Achieve personal objectives set by Line Manager.

Regulatory Responsibilities

Comply with policies, procedures, and ensure good customer outcomes and fair treatment.

Manage Relationships

• Advise and assist customers, foster positive relationships, and handle complaints promptly.
• Complete product review assessments and follow governance processes.

Skills And Competencies

• Relevant insurance experience in Energy and Lloyd’s & London Market underwriting.
• Experience in Renewable Power industry.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel, high numeracy, analytical skills, familiarity with exposure management tools.
• Organized, able to work under pressure, good communication skills, team player.

Education

• ACII qualified or near completion.
