There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 reflecting the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum. This will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer is a pivotal senior leadership role at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB). Working with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Executive Committee, and divisional triumvirates, the Deputy COO will drive improvement through open and visible leadership, embedding our ethos of go, look, and learn as part of our Quality Improvement journey.
The role involves developing, directing, and leading service improvement, performance strategies, and operational support to enhance patient care. As Deputy COO, you will oversee daily operations, develop strategies to improve efficiency, and deputise for the COO as needed.
