Job summary

Stretton Hall Nursing Home is hiring a Deputy Chef to assist in cooking for residents and cover for holidays. You will follow Head Chef menus, supervise junior staff, and uphold health and safety policies, COSHH, and infection control.

Experience in healthcare kitchens is advantageous; NVQ Level 2 in Catering is supported by Morris. Benefits include induction, training, pension, and free uniform.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care settings is not essential but useful.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Catering with company support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and cooking following Head Chef menus.
• Observe Health & Safety, COSHH, and Fire procedures.
• Supervise and train junior catering staff.
• Ensure correct labelling and storage of food.
• Assist kitchen staff with washing up and general cleaning.
