Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a Deputy Careers Lead to oversee InspireU's CEIAG, supported internships and employment programmes in Lincolnshire. You will lead a team of Careers Advisors and Job Coaches to tailor support to learners' aspirations and support pathways to sustainable employment.

You will build strong employer partnerships, source work experience and internships, and ensure provision meets Gatsby Benchmarks while collaborating with schools, colleges and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience of careers guidance, employability or work-based learning programmes.
• Experience leading or managing staff and developing teams.
• Committed to improving employment outcomes for young people with SEND.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and networking skills.
• Ability to analyse data to improve learner outcomes and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, colleges, universities and community organisations.
• Source high-quality work experience, internships and employment opportunities through networking and employer engagement.
• Represent InspireU at careers fairs, networking events and employer forums to promote opportunities for learners.
• Line manage Careers Advisors and Job Coaches to ensure high-quality delivery across programmes.
• Monitor the quality and impact of careers guidance, work experience and employment support.
• Ensure careers guidance aligns with statutory guidance and Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Provide individual and group careers guidance to support informed progression outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of post-16 and post-18 pathways, including apprenticeships and higher education.
