Job summary

Bestway Group Hull site seeks a Deputy Manager who will be hands-on and report to the Branch Manager. You will lead Cash & Carry operations, train staff, oversee stock control and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

You will drive customer and supplier relations, support HR processes including grievances, and help implement financial and transport controls while maintaining service quality at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing frontline staff and teams.
• Ability to organize training and appraisals for Cash & Carry staff.
• Experience updating and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Analytical approach to customer needs and commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for staff, customers and suppliers to grow the business.
• Manage, organise and provide training for Cash & Carry staff.
• Review job applications and arrange interviews as required.
• Update the team on company policies, procedures and rules changes.
• Oversee and assist with stock control and ordering including branch stock-checks.
• Hold investigations and meetings for HR related issues including grievance and disciplinary.
• Assist the Branch Manager to deliver Health & Safety requirements and other project work.
• Support the Transport Supervisor ensuring all compliance is actioned.
• Organise and undertake branch cash & bank processes.
