Job Description

To support the Head Teacher in leading and managing the school as a member of the senior leadership team. All Depute Headteachers have leadership, self-evaluation, and pupil responsibilities, and will deputise for the Headteacher as required. They will assist the Headteacher in advancing the aims of Clackmannanshire Council, the priorities of Education, and the objectives within the School Improvement Plan. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Leadership and management of learning, teaching, and assessment.
2. Leadership and management of professional learning and development.
3. Academic monitoring and tracking of learning progression.
4. Academic transitions.
5. Reporting to parents.
6. Engagement in ERD, professional updates, and the student and probationer teacher programmes.
