Trane Technologies is seeking a Depot Operative for Coldstores to manage the cold store fleet across Fawley Yard and Totton Depot. You will receive, offload, clean, test and store equipment and ensure accurate picking of hire contracts while maintaining high quality standards.

The role requires strong customer-service skills, good communication, and basic PC/MS Office proficiency. Forklift experience is a plus; on-site work is required with flexible standby coverage.

Responsabilités

• Receive and offload Hire Contract Equipment and store it properly.
• Clean, maintain and test cold stores and related equipment at Fawley Yard and Totton Depot according to SOPs.
• Update computer systems and track inventory numbers.
• Accurately pick hire contracts based on requests.
• Uphold quality standards of our brands during picking and loading.

Position Overview

The Depot Operative - Coldstores is responsible for all Hire Contract Equipment but primarily the cold store fleet to be maintained and tested, dispatched and received back and stored correctly in our Fawley Yard.

Key Responsibilities

Customer and Technical

• Receive and offload Hire Contract Equipment and put away in an organized and effective manner.
• Cleaning, maintaining and testing of all cold stores and related ancillaries following relevant SOP’s in our Fawley Yard.
• Cleaning, maintaining and testing of all Hire Equipment and related ancillaries following relevant SOP’s in our Totton Depot
• Update computer systems and track inventory numbers.
• Accurately pick hire contracts based on fulfilment managers’ requests.
• Uphold quality standards of our Brands during the picking and loading of Hire Contract Equipment.

Internal Controls and Processes

• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.

Skills and Capabilities

• Follow Health & Safety regulations, ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained.

• Ability to carry out manual handling duties in line with health and safety guidance

• Forklift driving an advantage

• Able to cover depot standby and call outs on a planned scheduled basis to include weekday, weekends and bank holidays when required

• Right to Work status confirmed for Country of application.

• UK drivers’ license
