Day Group's Day Aggregates Purley depot is hiring a Depot Operative to support daily operations, assist with material processing, and maintain safe, tidy site conditions.

You'll work as part of the operations team, perform manual handling, operate in an outdoor environment, and help ensure efficient production while following health and safety procedures. Experience in aggregates or similar industry is welcomed, with training provided where needed.

About the Role

Join Day Aggregates as a Depot Operative at our Purley depot and play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site.

Working as part of our operations team, you’ll be involved in a range of depot activities, including assisting with material processing, supporting plant operations, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and ensuring the site remains safe and organised. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the depot to help maintain productivity and support the smooth running of daily operations.

This is a hands-on role in a busy operational environment and will involve a degree of manual handling, working outdoors, and supporting a variety of depot activities as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible individual who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards across the workplace.

You’ll have a positive attitude, a strong awareness of health and safety, and a willingness to support wherever needed to ensure the depot operates efficiently. Experience operating mobile plant would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
