Job summary
DPD UK is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join our depot management team and oversee a high-performing operation, delivering superb service, cost control and safety. You will lead staff, drive productivity and implement innovative ways of working to meet targets across the operation.
The role requires extensive logistics/warehouse experience, leadership capability, and a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries.
- Ability to run a fast-paced operation and motivate high performing teams.
- Experience monitoring performance and analysing data to identify improvements and implement change.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence strategy.
- Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability.
- Depots operate 365 days a year; required to cover 5 shifts including weekends.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment, development and retention of staff, ensuring all compliance and Employee Relations processes are followed.
- Managing P&L through effective planning and reporting.
- Improving the overall support to the Operation whilst concentrating on new and innovative ways of working.
