Description

Depot Manager Location: Telford

The Opportunity: Lead, Build, and Grow With Us

We are the UK’s leading provider of loft boarding and home storage solutions, and we are currently undergoing a period of sustained and ambituous growth.

We’re not just looking for someone to maintain the status quo - we are searching for an ambitious, hands‑on Depot Manager who wants to take true ownership of our [Location] site. As our network expands, we need strong operational leaders who can drive performance, elevate standards, and scale with us. If you are looking for a role where your leadership directly impacts business growth and where your career can accelerate alongside ours, this is your opportunity.

The Role

As Depot Manager, you will hold full operational, financial, and leadership ownership of the site. Acting as the critical link between senior operations and frontline teams, you will empower and motivate our Head Installers and Assistant Installers, ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience when purchasing our loft storage solutions.

The [Location] depot will be your responsibility; from recruitment and people, to Operations best practice and health and safety, you will ensure our operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards every single day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scalably manage depot capacity, ensuring the site is structured, organised, and ready to meet growing demand without sacrificing quality or customer delivery.
Health & Safety Leadership
  • Embed a proactive "safety-first" culture across the depot, taking ultimate accountability for key Health & Safety (H&S) metrics, risk management, and audit compliance.
  • Lead regular safety walk-throughs, conduct thorough risk assessments (RAMS), and ensure 100% adherence to legal transport, vehicle check, and site safety standards.
Team Building & Talent Development
  • Lead, recruit, and mentor site supervisors, warehouse hands, and field installers - building a motivated, high-performing team accountable for top-tier results.
  • Drive team onboarding, conduct regular toolbox talks, and actively develop future operational talent within your site.
Commercial & Budget Management
  • Manage full depot P&L line items, controlling vehicle running costs, tool expenditure, stock shrink, and labour overtime.

  • Growth Mindset & Leadership: A proven, hands-on leader from construction, trades, logistics, or home improvement who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
