Position: Depot Manager
Location: Stoke
Hours: Monday to Friday Days
Pay: £50,000 - £55,000

About your new Depot Manager role

My client is a well-established Fleet Maintenance company with approximately 20 depots across the UK. They maintain high standards, boast a nearly 100% first-time MOT pass rate, and provide staff with ongoing training and progression opportunities. They are now seeking an experienced Depot Manager to oversee the Stoke site.

Responsibilities of the Depot Manager

1. Manage approximately 200 pieces of equipment, including trucks and trailers.
2. Lead, motivate, and support a team of around 12 HGV Technicians and support staff to work to high standards.
3. Oversee workshop control operations, planning workload and resources, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of documentation.
4. Ensure all staff are instructed on safe workshop practices and proper use of equipment.
5. Maintain compliance with legal and company standards in the workshop.
6. Control daily workshop operations (24/7) to ensure productivity and quality repairs.

Experience required for the Depot Manager role

1. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a depot manager.
2. Full UK driving license (due to car allowance).
3. At least 5 years' experience working on HGV vehicles or relevant qualifications, with experience on various commercial vehicles preferred.
4. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
5. CosHH/IOSH management experience is beneficial.
