Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in the UK is seeking a Depot Manager to lead a busy depot in Haverfordwest. You’ll work Mon–Fri, 07:30–17:00 (42 hours), running the depot with autonomy while keeping customers at the heart of what we do and driving the business forward with first-class service.

You’ll manage a team, prioritise workload under pressure, ensure Health & Safety standards, and have an understanding of budgets and P&L.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a team and delivering customer-focused service.
• Strong communication and organisational skills needed for depot operations.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under deadlines with safety awareness.
• Understanding of health and safety practices and budgets/P&L awareness.
• Adaptable to change in a fast-paced hire/engineering environment.
• PC literacy and knowledge of construction trades are advantageous.
• Previous hire process experience is beneficial; driving licence required.

Role - Depot Manager

Location - Haverfordwest

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Depot Manager preferably with a background in hire or engineering to manage our busy depot in Haverfordwest.

As a Depot Manager you will ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will proactively manage the team, have the independence of running your own depot, drive the business forward and continue to deliver the first class customer service that makes Speedy the best in our sector!

What you'll need

• Experience in managing a team

• Demonstrate understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety practices at work
• Ability to understand and work with profit and loss accounts and budgets

• PC literate
• General knowledge of the construction industry and trades including products.
• Previous experience of the hire process would be an advantage.
