Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. in Luton is seeking a Depot Support Operative to assist in all labouring duties and support transport and engineering functions at the depot.

You will work as part of a team, ensuring loads are prepared safely, maintaining equipment, and assisting engineers with stores and maintenance tasks. A Full UK Driving Licence is required and a forklift licence is desirable. In return, a salary from £28,100 p/a plus benefits is offered.

• Keen to learn and progress within an engineering environment

Responsibilities

• Work with drivers to ensure all trucks are loaded in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pick and make available machines for drivers as notified on Transport planning sheets.
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers have loads available to maximise driving hours and vehicle efficiency.
• Ensure diesel machines have tanks filled and chargeable invoicing information is completed daily.
• Maintain machine layout to use yard space efficiently.
• Park all machines after engineers have parked in laydown area.
• Complete planned maintenance activities including cleaning and painting and within Livery guidelines.
• Organise engineers stores to ensure efficient use of parts.
• Be an ambassador for Quality, Health, Safety and Tech X standards and policies.
• Provide high standard of customer care and be polite at all times.
• Maintain appearance, PPE usage.
• Support management in maintenance operations.
• Provide on-site depot maintenance as required.
• Use internal mobile app to complete tasks planned by LSM/WSM/SSE.
