Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Depot Support Operative at our Luton depot to assist in labouring duties and to support transport and engineering functions. You will work with drivers to load trucks, prepare machines, and ensure loads maximise driving hours while maintaining safety standards.

You will support the Service Manager, engineers, and shift supervisor, participate in maintenance tasks, and help organise stores and parts. A UK driving licence is required; forklift licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual are essential.
• Basic understanding of powered access is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and progress in an engineering environment.
• Ability to work well within a team in a reactive setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers to load trucks safely and efficiently.
• Prepare machines for drivers as per Transport planning sheets.
• Ensure vehicles and drivers have loads to maximise driving hours.
