Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Depot Foreman near Crawley to lead a team of engineers and labourers at the depot. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard and uphold health and safety requirements to keep the depot running efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical engineering/maintenance background, proven leadership experience and a hands-on approach, with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a foreman, supervisor or team leader.
• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering/maintenance.
• Experience with industrial, plant, machinery or technical equipment.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support engineers and depot staff.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and promote safe working practices.
• Oversee maintenance, servicing and preparation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Manage stock levels and equipment readiness.
• Attend site surveys, installations and call-outs when required.
• Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records.
• Lead performance reviews and staff development.
• Contribute to depot efficiency and high standards.

Job Title: Depot Foreman

Location: Outskirts of Crawley

Salary: £40k - £47k dependent on experience

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

A leading company on the outskirts of Crawley is seeking an experienced Depot Foremanto oversee day-to-day engineering operations at their depot.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of engineers and labourers, ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, health and safety requirements are met, and the depot operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical engineering / hire background, proven leadership experience and a hands‑on approach.

Role Summary

• Supervise and support engineers and depot staff
• Ensure health & safety compliance and promote safe working practices
• Oversee the preparation, maintenance and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment
