About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Depot Engineer to join our Major Repairs Team within our Welfare Hire division. If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy problem-solving, and like seeing equipment brought back to life, this could be the perfect role for you.
Reporting to our Foreman and working closely with the Depot Manager, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality refurbishments, major repairs, and fault diagnosis across our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out major in-house repairs, refurbishments, and detailed fault diagnosis across a wide range of welfare equipment.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks to ensure all assets are safe, compliant, and ready for hire.
Inventory Management
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of parts and consumables.
- Record all parts usage accurately using the depot’s mobile tablet system.
Job Processing & Reporting
- Update job cards, repair notes, and status information promptly and accurately via the mobile tablet.
Cross-Depot Support
- Provide support to other depots or departments when required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Workplace Standards
- Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and safe to maintain a productive working environment.
Compliance
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements at all times.
General Duties
- Support the Foreman and Depot Manager with any other tasks required to keep the depot running smoothly.
