An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new central team providing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and out-of-hours cover for a wide range of newly installed Plant & Equipment as a Depot Facilities Team Leader with a well-established Rail transportation client based in Cambridge.
The Team Leader will be hands-on and provide out-of-hours cover on a 1 in 4 rota (an on-call allowance will apply) with 3 other Technicians. This role involves working an afternoon/evening shift Monday – Friday, 7 hours a day (35 hours a week).
You will lead the team, organize workloads, arrange on-call cover, and liaise with management as required. You will also need to ensure that staff and contractors work safely within this challenging environment. Travel around the Greater Anglia area to other sites may be required.
This role is based at our client's Cambridge Depot and is suited for a multi-skilled engineer with supervisory experience, preferably from property or industrial maintenance backgrounds, both electrical and mechanical training to at least C&G Level 3 or ONC. A recognized safety qualification is required but can be provided, along with railway-specific training, assuming the strict PTS medical fitness can be met.
