Job summary

Core Highways are seeking a Depot Co‑Ordinator for their Bridgwater Depot. Reporting to the depot manager, you will support leadership and run the depot operations with a positive, can‑do attitude in a fast-paced environment. Experience in hire or construction is beneficial; T6 or M7 tickets are preferred.

You will coordinate workload with the operations team, ensure vehicle qualifications and safety checks, manage repairs, and support ad hoc depot requirements. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills and highly organised with good attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills and willingness to learn; full training provided.
• Previous experience in hire or construction industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Priority given to candidates holding T6 tickets or M7 tickets.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of workload through the operational team.
• Ensure correct qualifications are adhered to when programming works.
• Manage vehicles at operational level and check defects; arrange repairs.
• Review Samsara data and programme repairs as appropriate.
• Carry out regular spot checks to maintain vehicle standards.
• Coordinate daily mobile jobs with the admin team and ensure processes are followed.
• Check risk assessments are completed and site images captured.
• Ensure site clearances are actioned per company policy.
• During busy periods, support depot workload operationally.

We currently have a vacancy for a Depot Co‑Ordinator at our Bridgwater Depot.

The Role:

Reporting to the depot manager you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the leadership team and be pivotable in the running of the depot by carrying out your activities as well as being flexible with supporting any ad hoc depot requirements. A positive can‑do attitude to work is essential in an extremely reactive environment.

Duties will include:

• Manage the delivery of all workload through the operational team
• Ensure correct level of qualifications are adhered to when programming works delivery
• Manage vehicles at operational level
• Check vehicle defects and programme repairs where necessary
• Review Samsara and programme repairs where appropriate
• Carry out regular spot checks to ensure vehicles are maintained to an acceptable standard
• Working with your admin team you will assign mobile jobs daily and ensure all relevant processes are followed by operational teams
• Check risk assessments are being completed
• Check appropriate site images are being captured daily
• Check site clearances are actioned in line with company policy
• During busy periods you may be required to support the depot workload operationally

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have excellent people skills and will be highly organised and with a good attention to detail. You will also have strong IT skills. Full training will be provided. Previous experience in the hire or construction industry would be highly advantageous but is not essential. Priority will be given to applications from candidates who hold T6 or M7 tickets.
