Job summary

Stagecoach Basingstoke is seeking a Bus Depot Service Assistant (Cleaning & Refuelling) to fuel and oil fleets, drive shunter vehicles, and maintain a clean, safe depot at Rankine Road.

You will work 40 hours per week with a 16:30–00:30 rolling pattern, 5 days in 7. A valid UK driving licence is essential and a PCV licence is preferred. Training, pension, holidays, free travel for you and a partner, and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• A PCV licence preferrable.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and oiling our fleet of buses
• Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes using approved equipment
• Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms
• Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts when needed
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment
• Supporting your team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation
