Job summary

Primark Newtownards is seeking a Department Manager to drive store performance within a people‑first culture. You will lead a team, manage a department, and uphold excellent customer service.

In this role you will influence sales, stock, and merchandising while developing through digital learning and career pathways in a supportive environment.

Location: Primark Newtownards
Salary: £18,908 (FTE £37,817) (with 32 days annual leave & pension)
Contract: Part Time, Permanent, 16/24 hours alternating weeks.

Week 1 Monday/Tuesday
Week 2 Sunday/Monday/Tuesday
Week 3 Monday / Tuesday
Week 4 Monday/Tuesday/Saturday

What you’ll do

At Primark we do retail our way…so here is a taste of what you can expect in the role:

• Collaborate with the rest of the management team to support the daily running of the store.
• Responsible for at least one department within the store, including stock ordering and merchandising.
• Lead a team of managers to maximise sales by establishing goals and objectives.
• Provide a superior level of customer service.
• Drive your own development by taking advantage of our digital learning, apprenticeships and career pathways and see yourself grow in a supportive place powered by our people.
• In the absence of senior management, you will oversee the store for the shift.
