Job summary

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking a Dental Therapist Tutor for 4 days per week to work at Dumfries Dental Centre. The successful candidate will be a GDC-registered dental professional and join a team delivering the University of Highlands and Islands' BSc Oral Health Science in a multi-site programme across Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.

Experience with IT systems and a willingness to undertake teaching training, PVG clearance and flexible working patterns are important.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering dental education and training.
• Familiarity with video conferencing and virtual learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver educational sessions as part of the BSc Oral Health Science programme.
• Support students and coordinate with other tutors across Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.
• Assist with PVG clearance processes and safeguarding requirements.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway are looking for a Dental Therapist Tutor for 4 days a week based at the Dumfries Dental Centre.

The post holder should be a registrant with the GDC and have experience of, or be willing to undertake training in, education. The successful applicant will be part of a team of tutors delivering the University of Highlands and Islands, BSc Oral Health Science, in this innovative course which spans Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.

Familiarly with IT systems will be helpful as teaching is undertaken across video conferencing systems and in the virtual learning environment.

This post will require the successful applicant to have/obtain PVG Clearance.

While this role is advertised as 4 days per week, we welcome applications from individuals looking for alternative working patterns and will consider any number of days.
