Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dental therapist educator to lead and deliver high-quality education and training for Dental Hygiene and Therapy students. You will supervise clinical practice and contribute to curriculum design and assessment at the Eastman Dental Hospital Education Centre.

The role requires GDC registration, teaching qualifications, and experience in dental education within NHS settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BSc in Dental Hygiene or Dental Therapy with current GDC registration.
• Full registration with the General Dental Council.
• Postgraduate Certification in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or equivalent.
• Higher degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent).
• Knowledge of clinical and educational expectations for training dental hygienists.
• Experience delivering education and training to dental professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver education, training and assessment of undergraduate Dental Hygiene and Therapy students.
• Provide clinical supervision and support for undergraduate students.
• Contribute to design, delivery and QA of education and training programmes.
• Support EDHEC strategies in collaboration with Programme Director/Deputy.
• Undertake administrative and managerial responsibilities as agreed.
