Job summary

Penicuik Dental Care, part of Clyde Munro Group, seeks a part-time Dental Nurse to join our busy practice. You will provide chair side support across surgeries and assist with reception duties, while upholding high patient care standards.

Qualified or trainee applicants are welcome; GDC registration is required if qualified, with support for continued professional development within a friendly group. This role is based in Penicuik, Midlothian.

Qualifications

• Must be GDC registered if qualified.
• Experience in Private / NHS practices is preferred if qualified.
• Willing to demonstrate high levels of patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair side support across daily activities and surgeries.
• Ensure delivery of excellent patient care in line with health & safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and stock levels.
• Undertake reception duties including calls, appointments and charges.

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time Dental Nurse to join our team at Penicuik Dental Care. We are open to both qualified and trainee applications.

The hours for this role are Tuesday - Thursday (08:20 - 17:50, 1 hour lunch) and Friday 08.20 - 17:30, 1 hour for lunch)

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of anestablished dentalpractice.

Located in Penicuik, Midlothian, our practice was founded 13 years ago and is close to a vast array of nearby amenities, including cafes & bakeries within walking distance. The practice is easily accessible with routine bus links from the city centre as well as car park at the rear of the building.

You will be joining a busy, friendly and welcoming practice. We pride ourselves on our supportive culture and the strong feedback we get from our patients.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include –

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

About You

• Must be GDC registered if qualified
• Must have experience working in Private / NHS practices if qualified
• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
