Job summary

Clyde Munro Dental Group is seeking a full-time Dental Nurse for our Dollar practice. You will provide chair side support, assist with reception duties, and help maintain high standards of patient care in a friendly team environment.

The role emphasizes patient-centred care, efficient practice operation, and ongoing professional development within a supportive group.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is essential for the role.
• Experience in Private or NHS practices is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, with a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair side support in day-to-day dental procedures.
• Take reception duties when required, including handling calls and appointments.
• Assist with maintaining accurate patient records using the practice software.
• Set up surgeries for each session and ensure necessary instruments are ready.
• Monitor and replenish stock of supplies for smooth practice operation.
• Support clinicians and patients while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

We are excited to be looking for a full-time Dental Nurse to join our friendly and welcomingteam at our Dollar practice!

We offer a range of services that span general dentistry care, comprising dental examinations and hygiene sessions, as well as cosmetic dentistry remedies like teeth whitening.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will also be required to providereception cover when necessary.You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance. Developed and progression are encouraged. Use of Exact (SOE) beneficial but not essential, training will be provided.

Other duties include -

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

About You

• GDC registered
• Experience working in Private / NHS practices
• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
