Angle House Specialist Dentistry in London is seeking an experienced Dental Nurse to join our growing orthodontic team. You will provide chairside assistance, manage equipment, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

We value internal progression and offer training, a supportive team, and opportunities to develop new skills. The role is full-time with possibilities for part-time hours and a trainee pathway.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent and GDC registration are required.
• Interest in orthodontics and patient-focused approach are essential.
• Experience with radiography and practice software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance and ensure equipment is ready.
• Care for patients and support their journey through the visit.
• Accurately complete patient records as directed.
• Communicate with patients and support the clinical team.
• Assist the Practice Manager and team for smooth operations.
• Build strong relationships with patients.
• Keep clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean and sterile.
• Liaise with nursing and reception to coordinate records and communications.
• Help achieve business objectives and monitor progress.

Job description

The Role - Dental Nurse at Angle House Edmonton

We are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse, who wants to be a big part of the Angle House success story. Our orthodontists rely on Dental Nurses to assist with a range of dental procedures, while our patients appreciate the reliability and reassurance - they need to know they're in safe hands.

You'll also have the chance to develop new skills. We're big on promoting people from within, so there's plenty of scope for progression if you want to broaden your horizons.

This role is full-time, 40 hours a week, 8:30 to 17:30. We will consider part-time candidates (minimum 32 hours/4 days a week)

We will also consider a Trainee Dental Nurse for this role.

Key duties:

• Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
• Ensure the care and welfare of patients
• Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed
• Communicate with patients and provide support throughout their patient journey
• Support the Practice Manager and the clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
• Build and maintain strong relationships with patients
• Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate and according to the practice's health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions
• Liaise with Dental Nurses and reception to ensure smooth running of the practice, patient communications and transfer of records
• Help make agreed business objectives happen, and monitor achievements

Requirements:

• Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent (or close to finishing the course)
• GDC Registration
• Interest in Orthodontics
• Patient focus & enthusiasm

Desirable:

• 2+ years of nursing experience
• Experience in iTero/Trios scanning
• Radiography qualification
• Previous experience with orthodontics is desirable
• Team and Diary Management
• Previous experience using iComply, DoIt, SOE or Dentally is desirable
