Job summary

Winchester Dental Solutions is seeking a qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join a modern, fully private practice. You will support clinicians, maintain high standards of infection control, and help deliver outstanding patient care.

There are opportunities to gain experience in dental implant procedures with training provided. The role offers Monday–Friday hours (08:00–17:30) with a parking permit and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is required.
• Friendly, professional and patient-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cross-infection control, clinical safety and patient confidentiality.
• Able to work well in a team and use initiative.
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures.
• Prepare, clean and sterilise instruments per cross-infection controls.
• Keep surgeries clean, organised and fully equipped for each appointment.
• Support patients and help them feel comfortable throughout visits.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and complete documentation.
• Follow health and safety, infection control and clinical governance procedures.
• Monitor and maintain dental equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with the practice team for efficient day-to-day operations.

Join Winchester Dental Solutions and become part of a friendly, experienced team at a modern, fully private dental practice. We are looking for a qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse to join our team and support our clinicians in delivering outstanding patient care.

Our modern practice has three fully equipped surgeries and is located in Winchester, just a 5-minute walk from the train station, with excellent road and rail links to Southampton, Reading, Basingstoke, the M25 and destinations across the south coast. The Role

As a Dental Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring the smooth running of the practice. You will assist with a range of dental procedures, maintain excellent clinical and cross‑infection control standards, and help ensure our patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visits.

You will work closely with our dentists and wider practice team in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and expand your clinical knowledge. There will also be opportunities to gain experience in dental implant procedures, with training provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00-17:30

Lunch break: 13:00-14:00

Your Responsibilities

• Providing chairside assistance to dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
• Preparing, cleaning and sterilising instruments in line with current cross‑infection control procedures.
• Ensuring surgeries are clean, organised and fully equipped for each appointment.
• Supporting patients throughout their treatment and helping them feel comfortable and reassured.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and completing relevant documentation.
• Following health and safety, infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Monitoring and maintaining dental equipment, instruments and clinical supplies.
• Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure efficient day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and contributing to high standards of clinical governance.
