Job summary

PortmanSmile Clinic in Truro is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse for a part-time role. Shifts typically on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 08:00–17:00 with ad hoc holiday/sickness and occasional Saturday cover.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate from £13.70 and the chance to work within a modern, 4-surgery orthodontic setting alongside specialists. You will support both NHS and private patients, join a nurse-led team, and have opportunities for career development and training.

Qualifications

• A recognised Dental Nursing qualification and active GDC registration.
• A caring and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills.
• A team player who thrives on providing great service and building relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Orthodontic experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support NHS and private patients in a busy orthodontic clinic serving multiple surgeries.
• Work alongside Specialist Orthodontists and Therapists.
• Opportunity to work independently within nurse-led clinics with scope of practice.

• Typical shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 0800-1700 (ad hoc holiday/sickness/ Saturday cover)
