Job summary

Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice in Darlington is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly five-surgery team on a permanent basis. You’ll work across multiple surgeries, gaining exposure to general and specialist dentistry including implants and endodontics.

We welcome applications from fully GDC-registered nurses or trainees with recent chairside experience, and offer structured training, funded CPD, and a supportive environment to develop your career in dentistry.

Qualifications

• Must be GDC-registered or currently completing dental nursing training with chairside experience.
• Capable of chairside support and maintaining infection control standards.
• Comfortable working in a busy 5-surgery practice and developing skills across general and specialist dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support to dentists and clinicians.
• Prepare surgeries and equipment for treatments.
• Support clinicians during general and specialist procedures.
• Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control.
• Participate in the decontamination room rota.
• Ensure surgeries are clean and well prepared for patients.

Dental Nurse | Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice | Darlington

Cleveland Terrace Dental Practice in Darlington is looking for a Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy 5-surgery practice, where you’ll work alongside a variety of experienced clinicians and gain exposure to a broad range of treatments.

We’re ideally looking for a qualified Dental Nurse, but we’re also happy to consider someone currently undertaking their dental nursing training who is looking for a supportive practice where they can develop their skills and build their career.

We provide a mix of general and specialist dentistry, including endodontics, implants and visiting specialist clinicians, giving you plenty of opportunity to broaden your experience.

About the Role

As a Dental Nurse at Cleveland Terrace, you’ll work across our five surgeries alongside a range of clinicians.

Our nurses move between surgeries, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical experience rather than working with the same clinician every day. You’ll support dentists and visiting specialists across a variety of treatments, giving you exposure to both general and more advanced areas of dentistry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside support to dentists and clinicians.
• Preparing surgeries and equipment for a range of treatments.
• Supporting clinicians during general and specialist procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
• Taking part in the decontamination room rota.
• Ensuring surgeries are well maintained, clean and fully prepared for patients.
• Supporting the smooth running of the practice.
• Helping patients feel comfortable, reassured and well cared for throughout their visit.

Our reception team is kept separate from the nursing team, allowing you to focus on your clinical responsibilities and patient care.

About You

We’re ideally looking for a qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse, although we’re also happy to consider someone currently completing their dental nursing training with recent chairside experience.
