Job summary

PortmanDentex in Sheffield's Occudental practice is seeking a qualified dental nurse to join our experienced team. This private, 3-surgery clinic offers a nurse-led environment with modern, well-equipped surgeries and a clear development pathway.

You will work part-time over four days, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 6:30pm, with a competitive hourly rate in line with experience. GDC registration and a caring, patient-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Distinguish yourself with a recognised Dental Nursing qualification and active GDC registration.
• Strong communication and patient-facing skills are essential.
• Team player who thrives in a busy private practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate chairside support during patient treatments and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and sterilise instruments.
• Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and trust.
• Contribute to a patient-focused culture and positive team atmosphere.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in a nurse-led clinic.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly & experienced team at our Occudental practice in Sheffield.

The essentials:

• Part time hours over 4 days
• Mondays - Thursdays 8.30am - 6.30pm
• Competitive hourly rate from: £13.50 in line with experience
• 3-surgery, fully private practice offering a range of treatments including: Implants, Invisalign, facial aesthetics and general dentistry
• Modern and well-equipped surgeries
• Opportunity to work independently within ournurse-led clinics, and fully within your scope of practice
• Easily commutable with bus & tram stops close by

As a Dental Nurse you will:

• Provide compassionate chairside supportduring a variety of patient treatments and procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas
• Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort, and build positive relationships
• Sterilise and process dental instruments using appropriate sterilization procedures and equipment
• Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster an inclusive, supportive team atmosphere
• Contribute to a patient-focused culture by going above and beyond to ensure positive patient experiences

About you
