Job summary

PortmanDentex operates the Durham Smile Clinic in Durham and is seeking a great dental nurse for a friendly, modern practice on a part-time basis. Shifts run 8.45am to 6.00pm across 3 days per week.

You will hold a recognised dental nursing qualification with active GDC registration, show excellent communication, and work well in a team. Orthodontic experience helps but training is provided. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

A great dental nurse can transform a patient’s day. Come and make a difference with us. Are you ready to step into a new challenge in a friendly and modern setting? If so, we’ve got a vacancy at our welcoming Durham Smile Clinic in Durham.

• Part-time hours available - 3 days per week
• Typical shifts: 8.45am to 6.00pm
• Competitive hourly rate: from £13.50p/h
• 6 Modern and well-equipped surgeries, working alongside Specialist Orthodontists and Therapists
• Opportunity to work independently within our nurse-led clinics, and fully within your scope of practice

About You

We’d love to receive your application to our Dental Nurse vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:

• A recognised Dental Nursing qualification and active GDC registration
• A positive and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills
• A team player who thrives on providing great service and building relationships with colleagues and patients
• Orthodontic experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
