Job summary

NHS Shetland is seeking a part-time Dental Supplies/Transportation Operative based at Montfield Dental Health Centre, Lerwick. You will assist with procurement, stock handling and transport duties, delivering instruments and materials between clinics and decontamination units to support dental services across NHS Shetland.

Applicants should hold a Full UK driving licence, understand infection control, and be organised, reliable and physically fit. Closing date: 18 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Understanding of infection control and warehouse/stock controlled environment.
• Ability to prioritise, communicate well, stay organised and fit.
• PVG checks may apply as part of pre-employment process.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dental Procurement Administrative Officer with routine procurement, stock handling and vehicle duties.
• Collect and deliver dental instruments, equipment, materials and documentation between clinics, LDU and CDU.
• Work at Montfield Dental Health Centre, Lerwick, ensuring safe, efficient dental services across NHS Shetland.
