Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 2 Dental Clinical Support Worker to assist in the decontamination process at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. The role supports the Decontamination and Equipment Manager and works with dental teams to ensure sterile and non-sterile instruments are efficiently handled and tracked.

Key duties include instrument receipt and storage, data entry across IT systems, and adherence to infection prevention policies.

Qualificações

• Experience with hospital instrument decontamination protocols and infection prevention practices.
• Ability to use IT systems for tracking inventory and data entry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, check and return instrument deliveries; maintain accurate issued/returned records.
• Store and distribute sterile and non-sterile instruments; maintain stock control and replace non-clinical stock.
• Assist with stock audits and ensure decontamination protocols are followed by all staff and students.
