We provide medical, behavioral health, dental, and support services to over 34,000 patients across Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. Our programs include care for the elderly and WIC Nutrition Program. We are seeking a talented Dental Hygienist to join our team!

Position Details: 24 hours weekly at the Harbor Community Health Center - Plymouth, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Benefits included!

Role:

The Dental Hygienist provides preventive, educational, and therapeutic services to support oral health. Responsibilities include assisting dentists, reviewing medical histories, detecting oral diseases, performing clinical procedures, educating patients, reviewing treatment plans, and supporting clinical research.

Responsibilities:

• Take and record vital signs; review medical charts for medications, history, and allergies.
• Perform oral exams, screenings, charting, and evaluate occlusion and habits.
• Educate patients on dental care, diet, brushing, flossing, and fluoride use.
• Perform procedures such as scaling, root planning, fluoride application, and topical anesthetics.
• Assist with infection control, emergency triage, and setup/breakdown of operations as needed.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program; BA preferred.
• Current MA Dental Hygiene license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; 3 years preferred.
• Dental Assistant experience can substitute for one year of Hygienist experience.
