Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dental Decontamination Technician to support safe, high-quality dental care by cleaning, sterilising and maintaining instruments in line with HTM 01-05.
You will operate specialised decontamination equipment, perform routine testing of autoclaves, washer disinfectors and ultrasonic cleaners, and ensure timely processing of re-usable dental equipment.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Decontamination Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will paly a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, high quality dental care by ensuring al dental instruments and equipment are effectively decontaminated, sterilised, and maintained in accordance of HTM 01-05 and current processes.
- Utilising specialised decontamination equipment.
- Ensure used equipment and instruments are cleaned, sterilised and repackaged.
- Undertake frequent testing of specialised decontamination equipment and pressurised vessels to ensure that these items of equipment are functioning correctly
- To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the Dental service
- It is a requirement for this role that the successful candidate is appropriately vaccinated to carry out this role once induction and on site training is complete.
