Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Previous demolition or strip-out experience
- Full PPE (Hard Hat, Hi-Vis Vest and Safety Boots)
- Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites
Desirable:
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Face Fit Certificate
- UK Driving Licence
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assisting with demolition and soft strip-out works on commercial and residential properties.
- Removing non-structural materials, fixtures, fittings, partitions, flooring and other building elements as directed.
- Safely using hand and power tools to carry out demolition and strip-out duties.
- Breaking down, sorting and loading waste materials into skips and ensuring materials are disposed of correctly.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Following site instructions from supervisors and site managers.
- Working efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Assisting other trades and labourers when required.
- Adhering to all company and site health and safety procedures.
- Undertaking any other duties as directed by site management.
Requirements
- As a Demolition Labourer, you will also be expected to:
- Arrive on site punctually and maintain excellent attendance.
- Work safely and professionally at all times.
- Wear the appropriate PPE throughout the working day.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
- Be flexible to work at various sites if required.
