As a member of the Democratic Services team, you will play a vital role in facilitating local democracy. Your responsibilities will include organising and supporting the Council's committee meetings, ensuring all statutory and constitutional requirements are met, and providing governance advice to Members and Officers across the council. This role supports local democracy in Kent.
You will also have excellent opportunities for personal and professional development, including the option to undertake qualifications provided by the Association of Democratic Services Officers.
The role offers a hybrid working model with some days in the office and some days working from home. You will be fully supported with induction, management, and equipment. You will need to attend Committee meetings at Sessions House, Maidstone, as required, and may need to travel to external meetings.
