Job summary

Eton College is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie with a hunger to learn and grow within our impressive team. You will concentrate on salad bars, cold buffets and chilled breakfast items, while assisting in all kitchen areas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, maintaining health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, a food handlers certificate, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Food handlers certificate.
• Knowledge of sanitation principles is advantageous but not essential.
• Great attention to detail and creativity.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in working in this type of role (ideally one year).
• Experience working in an academic environment would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food as delegated, ensuring highest quality.
• Adhere to standards for food prep and presentation; follow recipes.
• Be innovative and creative.
• Follow procedures for food temperature checks, labelling and hygiene; record data.
• Ensure allergen procedures are followed for special diets.
• Report hazards and defects; inform Senior Chef on duty.
• Undertake relevant training and Bekynton modules.
• Commit to equality, diversity and inclusion and safeguarding requirements.
