Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in the Lake District is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie for SOURCE, our ingredient-led restaurant. You will support the kitchen brigade, learn advanced techniques, and help deliver Michelin-starred dining in a refined environment.

Join a Michelin-starred team with mentoring, meals on shift, and generous gratuities. Salary is £33,280 per year with approx. £234 monthly gratuities; 50 hours per week and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a quality-led kitchen.
• Passion for food, ingredients, and culinary excellence.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth running of an allocated section during preparation and service.
• Prepares, cooks, and presents dishes to the high standards expected within a Michelin-starred kitchen.
• Supports Chef de Parties and senior chefs with daily prep, service, and menu execution.
• Maintains exceptional standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation.
• Learns and develops technical skills through hands-on experience and coaching from experienced chefs.
• Works collaboratively with the wider brigade to ensure efficient and professional kitchen operations.
• Contributes positively to the calm, disciplined, and supportive culture that defines SOURCE.
