FTC until 31st March 2027, possibility of extension subject to funding
Part time - 21 hours per week
Stockport based, with regular travel across the borough
15,893 per annum, rising by 4% upon successful completion of probationary period
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST:
The Dementia Plus Advocate will deliver safeguarding and therapeutic services to individuals aged 65 and over who are impacted by domestic abuse, where either the victim or perpetrator has a diagnosis of dementia. The post holder will provide personalised, dementia-sensitive support and raise awareness across the borough by delivering training to equip practitioners with the knowledge and tools to recognise and respond to abuse in the context of cognitive impairment.
