Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting specialist outreach role for dementia care in residential/nursing settings. You will provide specialist nursing advice, treatment and education under the guidance of a registered team, contributing to assessments and interventions within the dementia outreach service.

You will engage with the Enhanced Health in Care Homes Service (EHCH) and local GPs, working in a multi-disciplinary team to raise care standards and support

• Experience in dementia care or related field.
• Registered nurse or allied health professional.
• Willingness to work with a multi-disciplinary team and care homes.

This is an exciting opportunity, to be part of a specialist Outreach service for clients with dementia in residential/nursing care providing specialist nursing/healthcare advice, treatment and teaching/education as appropriate under the guidance of professionally registered teammembers. To contribute to assessment and interventions carried out by the dementia outreach. to engage with the Enhanced Health in Care Homes Service (EHCH) and with GPs in the local area. Part of a multi-disciplinary Outreach service which works with both Independent Sector and Statutory Sector providers of Residential Care to Older People with dementia. To increase the capacity, confidence, competence and willingness of those organisations to provide the right level of care to this vulnerable client group and by doing so to increase standards of care, improve quality of life, increase independence and choice. You will be supported through training and supervision. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker Visa can determine the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship against the relevant criteria here https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £20.00 (standard) or £41.00 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £15 per year applies.
