Job summary

Elmbridge Borough Council Dementia Services seeks a Casual Dementia Service Assistant to support a day centre for clients with mild to moderate dementia in Esher.

You will deliver person-centred activities, promote independence, and assist the Dementia Services Manager to ensure a caring, inclusive environment. Excellent communication, creativity, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within dementia services or social care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be creative and provide a range of activities.
• Good team player and ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dementia Services Manager in the daily operations of the service.
• Deliver person-centred activities to enhance social, physical and mental wellbeing.
• Cover the Dementia Services Supervisor when needed, maintaining service documentation and training.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding practices, and build effective relationships with team members, clients, and carers.
