Ashmere Derbyshire is hiring a Dementia Care Assistant at Valley Lodge Care Home, Bakewell Road. This full-time role covers 36.75 hours per week over 3 days, focusing on helping residents with meals, personal care and coordinating with professionals.

No formal qualification is required; we offer training, DBS check paid, uniform provided and an attendance bonus. We also support staff with development, pension, Blue Light Card, refer-a-friend incentives, and enhanced pay on bank holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Care required or working towards the qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 or working towards is preferred.
• NVQ Level 4 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with all aspects of care, including mealtimes and personal care.
• Administer medication and liaise with outside professionals.
• Provide compassionate support and communicate effectively with residents and families.
