Job summary

Richmond Villages Wood Norton in Worcestershire is seeking a Senior Care Assistant. Working on 12-hour shifts (08:00-20:00) with alternate weekends, you will support nursing staff, assist with medications, monitor residents' health, and keep care plans up to date.

You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and bring a calm, professional approach to delivering high-quality, dignified care in a dementia suite. A welcome bonus is offered and paid breaks are included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential.
• Experience in dementia care preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
• Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
