Job summary

Belong Birkdale is seeking an experienced Team Lead to guide a household of older people, including those living with dementia, ensuring person-centred care and high standards. You will lead a team of Support Workers, coordinate rotas, oversee medications and maintain care plans with a focus on dignity and independence.

You will also conduct supervisions, support team development, and liaise with families and healthcare professionals while upholding Belong’s values and policies.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience working within an adult social care setting.
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring care colleagues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Ability to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Support Workers.
• Manage and coordinate staff rotas.
• Oversee medication administration, ordering and auditing.
• Maintain and update person-centred care plans.
• Conduct supervisions and one-to-one meetings with colleagues.
• Support development and wellbeing of team members.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice for customers.
• Support individuals living with dementia and other age-related conditions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with Belong policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
