Job summary

Black Country Housing Group is recruiting for three day-shift Care Assistant posts at New Bradley Hall, a dementia-friendly residential care home. Roles involve hands-on personal care, key worker duties, meals, light domestic tasks, and record-keeping. DBS required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Experience in care settings is preferred, with NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it. Knowledge of CQC standards and privacy is important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
• Experience working in a care environment or similar
• Basic understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and compliance
• Understanding of care plans, risk assessment and medications
• Enhanced DBS check
• Able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as toileting and bathing per care plans
• Act as key worker for residents and follow care plans
• Ensure safety by following health and safety laws and CQC standards
• Monitor and report changes in residents' safety and wellbeing
• Maintain resident confidentiality
• Support social and emotional needs and facilitate leisure activities
• Make beds, tidy rooms, and perform light cleaning and laundry
• Serve meals and assist with eating and drinking
