Orchard Care Homes is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator at Paddock Stile Manor, Newbottle, near Houghton-le-Spring. The role involves planning and running engaging activities for residents, coordinating external performers, and supporting social media sharing to showcase the home.

The position is part-time (25 hours/week) with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. Training and progression opportunities are provided within a supportive care-homes network.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating activities in care/home environments.
• Ability to design engaging, memory-evoking activities for older adults.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and gain approval for a varied activity programme.
• Lead events while ensuring safety, comfort and enjoyment.
• Coordinate external performers and transport as needed.
• Keep budget records and assist with fundraising and equipment.
